Dr. Jeannine Forrest, who manages a research project involving palliative care for people with advanced dementia, will describe best practices and the findings of her current study. Finally, Mary Ellen Geist, author of an acclaimed memoir about caring for her father with Alzheimer’s disease, will talk about her personal journey of caregiving and the power of music and song to connect with those with Alzheimer’s disease.I have had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Forchetti speak.
